Our vein disease treatments are generally well-tolerated. Discomfort is minimal, with the most significant discomfort often occurring during the numbing part of EVLT and microphlebectomy procedures. However, after these treatments, mild to moderate discomfort might persist for a few days, which can be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers like acetaminophen or ibuprofen.
Ultrasound-guided and visual sclerotherapy procedures involve needle pricks but are usually not painful during medication injection. We avoid using hypertonic saline, known for causing more significant discomfort. Overall, these treatments are well-tolerated by most patients.
